True Lover

shearing of dreams
tearing of veils
wearing of nothing
but white nakedness
is what he asks of me
my true lover
before he ends
the long wait through the night

Women Know Of Pain

women know of pain
like animals of wild
they can smell it in the wind
they know of birthing
soft bodies against theirs
smell of warm milk
swift cutting of the cord
the pain of which
lasts a lifetime
so they will find your pain
and when they do
they will huddle around
and cover you
with soft feathers and warm words
for women know of pain
they know of love too

Window

each broken dream
every crushed desire
becomes a window
for me to see the sky

370

Come To Me

come to me
when you can no longer fill
your emptiness
with playthings of this world
come to me
where I wait for you
by the gates of the playground
with the patience of one
not fooled by the hoax of time
till then
play on

Journeys

across the vastness
of an unmapped sky
together and yet alone
long journeys undertaken
on tired wings
in search of
that elusive warmth

Broken Heart

cracked by pain
softened by sorrow
the broken open heart then learns
all peace lies in relinquishing
desires that bind
dreams that deceive
till nothing remains
but the echo
of one's own footsteps
resounding
in the long solitary walk
back home

368

Their Blood

their voices silenced
their blood speaks
in darkening hues of crimson
blood of those children
in desperate hope
says again and again
that the same red flows
in each one of this world
the same red keeps
the throbbing spark alive
blinded and deafened
as we are by illusions
when shall we hear
the call of that blood?

368

All Love

all love is a meandering
until to myself
I come home
all love is a soaring
on borrowed wings
until I grow my own

Wine

I'll share my laughter with you
my tears, they will be mine
cached in sacred places
some day, they will be wine

366

Reality

hunger made restless
by sumptuous dreams
sleeps well
sated
on reality's dry bread

365

When

I think of when
beyond doors of birth and death
we will sit in the glow
of eternal fire
all tears and laughter
joy and sorrow
mere ashes
blown about by the wind

364

Bridge

with splinters of my dreams
I build
a bridge to wakefulness

363

Freedom

free me from your dream
I'll free you from mine
in clear mirror
of each other's eyes
let's be our truth
and in freedom
unite

362

pain

all pain is but tattered dreams
gossamer raiment
spun from within
we weep when
they do not fit the skin
of reality

362

Go your way

Go your way
I wish you well
But I do not promise
When you return
You will find me
Where you leave me
For time will not stand
For you or me
And my feet like yours
Were not made to be still

361

Night

the day departs
burdened,
bent
with sackful of stories ;
dying light
emptied hands
I seek myself in silence
of the long dark night

360

Speaking

she speaks so well
she uses words
with the skill of
a master craftsman
she speaks so much
they never know
she doesn't say anything at all

358

Shadows

in connivance with the moon
night throws long shadows
blessed mercy for those
burnt by the day

357

Lamp

I do not have to light the world.
said the little lamp
in this corner
for a while
I will make the shadows dance

356

Birds Of Wild

like birds of the wild
captured for amusement
women know
the pain of clipped wings
but then
unlike birds
we can be whole again
soaring, swooping
circling, spiraling
we can reclaim for ourselves
the playground of the sky

355

Fly

caged for long
one day, at last
looking within
she discovered sky
and with broken wings
learnt to fly

354

Sky

in open palms
the unborn sky
holds the spheres
in dance of birth and death
made of earth
though I am
I hold within
a scrap of that eternal sky
353

Absence

sometimes
my aloneness
plays with me
holding in hands
soft clay of your absence
it moulds of you
what my heart desires

352

Penury

must, should, do, don't
I bury beneath them
the gold of my heart
I spend my days in penury
for a world that does not care

351

lOVE

trees stripped in autumn
hide inside bareness
promise of springs to come
so love hides within
and when the time comes
bursts forth in a wild flowering
covering our nakedness

350

BELOVED'S CALL

when tears and laughter mingle
when through sunshine, rain can fall
I'll know the path is ending
I'll hear the beloved's call
